Trailer for your Weekend: Dracula Untold

I have caught a couple of films in cinemas over the past week and on both occasions I have been subjected to horror that is the trailer for Dracula Untold (2014). Not horror as in an exceptionally crafted trailer for a film that looks terrifying. Rather a trailer that appears to be promoting the most utterly terrible film of the year. It looks like it could even be the worst Dracula film ever which is no mean feat. The concept is moderately interesting. Dracula actually seeks out his transformation into a vampire to help protect his family. But it looks to be rendered in the most bland and cliche and unimpressive manner imaginable. You can check out the horror for yourself below. Does anyone out there hold any hope for this?

  1. It could be so bad it’s good… Maybe? I like Luke Evans. I’ll wait for it to come out on DVD, though.

    1. Maybe… It just feels so bad it’s bad. But like you, there is a fair chance I will take a look when it hits DVD if I am in the mood for something mindless.

  2. This doesn’t look EXCEPTIONALLY bad. I mean, there’s no way Drac could be a bigger bitch than he was in the NBC series that debuted last year. He was equal parts emo and Tony Stark, and it. Was. Terrible. Some would say the terriblest. I would say the terriblest.

    1. That does sound the terriblest. Especially the emo bit. I managed to not even know that show existed though, which is good.

  3. Gotta say man, I actually do! I’ve been nothing but impressed by these trailers, but you could very well be right. This could be bland, bland, bland. I’ll see how much I bite my tongue later on, I guess! 😀

    1. Hmmm. I suspect it won’t be bland. But it could be trainwreck bad.
