About

Hello All,

My name is Tim and I am the creator and writer of Beermovie.net. This site originally started life on blogspot in April of 2010. Since then it has had a couple of iterations. The site has shifted from blogspot to wordpress and was for a long time called Not Now, I’m Drinking a Beer and Watching a Movie. In January 2014 that title was ditched for the shorter, snappier (and less cool) Beermovie.net.

The site was originally designed as a place for me to indulge my passion for classic film, particularly by focusing on the ‘1001 Movies to See Before You Die.’ That is still a focus of the site, but it has also broadened out to include monthly ‘Worth Watching’ roundups and reviews of more contemporary films. In 2014, the aim is to also launch The Beer Movie Podcast as well as some video content.

Thanks very much for visiting the site, hopefully you will continue to come back. Hit me on drinkingbeerwatchingmovie@gmail.com should you ever wish to get in touch.

Peace,

Tim

  7. Hey dude, thanks for stopping by and following The Kingdom. I was pretty sure I stopped by to follow you after reading your Mortal Kombat review yesterday, but I guess that was an oversight on my part. Which has now been remedied! I love the idea of drinking and watching movies and the tweet review was awesome. So I’m sticking around for more great fun.

speakin’ of beer, If you try to order a beer at a bar in the Czech Republic, the bartender might not know what you’re talking about. There, the stuff is called “pivo”. But before you chalk it up to a language barrier, consider that plenty of non-English-speaking countries use a cognate for the word “beer,” like bier (Germany) or bière (France): 🙂

  14. Hi Tim, just stumbled across your blog courtesy of Cinema Parrot Disco and by matter of coincidence I posted my own article on Rick and Morty this morning! Weird right! Really liked your post, check mine out here, https://backtotheviewer.wordpress.com/2014/11/30/rick-and-morty-a-rickdonculous-ode-to-science-fiction/

p.s Your avatar photo of Edward G Robinson, is that from Little Caesar?

    1. Hey James. Thanks for commenting. Love the name of your site by the way. Tis brilliant. Glad to see you were as big a fan of Rick and Morty as I was. Can’t wait for the second season to surface sometime.

Re the photo, I’m not entirely sure where exactly it is from. It’s just the first pic of Robinson smoking a big fat cigar I found.
