Trailer for your Weekend: The Amazing Spiderman 2

spidey poster

The first of these films, whilst a totally unnecessary reboot, was decent enough. I thought that Raimi’s first Spiderman film did all the same things, only better, but it could have been worse. I don’t look back on it that fondly, so unsurprisingly, I am not all that excited about The Amazing Spiderman 2. Seeing this trailer has not really changed anything in that regard I have to say. There are some cool little moments, the opening shot for example. But nothing here, even the hints at the Green Goblin or Elecro, really piqued my interest that much. What about you folk, more excited than me for this?

  1. I actually found the re-reboot (the Andrew Garfield one) an improvement over the schlock that was Sam Raimi’s interpretation. I liked a lot of Tobey Maguire, but somehow the Amazing Spiderman felt more serious, and more legitimate. But seeing how many villains and “things” they’re trying to stuff into this next one is getting me a little nervous. Not sure how they’re going to pull it off.

    1. Yeah fair enough. I know a lot of people did prefer the reboot. I haven’t revisited them in a few years, but I was a massive fan of Raimi’s first two. But the third was killed by (amongst other things) too many villains, which is not a good sign for this which seems to be going down the same path.

  2. I completely agree. I still mostly don’t care.

    1. Think there is a few of us out there

  3. I am not. They couldn’t even make the trailer look good. I don’t think you could drag me to the trailer to see this.

    1. Yeah fair call. I will no doubt see it, simply because I try and see most ‘big’ releases. But the trailer leaves me pretty un-enthused.
