Pondering live-tweeting a film. John Dies at the End and Frankenstein's Army are my two choices. Can you guys work it out while I get wine.

Film chosen, based almost entirely on the short running time. #frankentweet pic.twitter.com/V3UFrwst7e

And yes, it did take me 40 minutes to pour myself a glass of wine. What of it? #frankentweet

Nazis featuring in a low budget genre flick. Having some badass Iron Sky flashbacks right now. Lordy that was a pile of crap. #frankentweet
— Tim @ Beermovie.net (@beer_movie) April 18, 2014
I have seen folks I respect give this 1 star and 5 stars. Which always kind of gets me interested in a film. #frankentweet

Arbie is psyched for this one too. He's more of a whisky man though #frankentweet pic.twitter.com/T6zTpsVVfr
— Tim @ Beermovie.net (@beer_movie) April 18, 2014
He has refined tastes that dude. #frankentweet
— Tim @ Beermovie.net (@beer_movie) April 18, 2014
This is found footage-ey. But not in a really annoying way. I like how they've stylised it to make it look old. #frankentweet
— Tim @ Beermovie.net (@beer_movie) April 18, 2014
Looks like most of the budget has gone to design, gore and practical effects. And I am more than okay with that. #frankentweet
— Tim @ Beermovie.net (@beer_movie) April 18, 2014
I'm finding the audio on this really hard to hear. No subtitles either which does not help. I am pretty deaf though. #frankentweet
— Tim @ Beermovie.net (@beer_movie) April 18, 2014
So far this definitely lacks polish. Low budget shows. But it does in some small way capture the shittiness of war #frankentweet
— Tim @ Beermovie.net (@beer_movie) April 18, 2014
Arbie has fallen asleep in front of the telly which he never does though. So it's a definite paws down from him. #frankentweet
— Tim @ Beermovie.net (@beer_movie) April 18, 2014
What are some of your favourite found footage horror flicks? I haven't seen many. Aussie one The Tunnel prob my pick #frankentweet
— Tim @ Beermovie.net (@beer_movie) April 18, 2014
This is losing me a bit now though. Lack of any real narrative is letting down the interesting trimmings. #frankentweet
— Tim @ Beermovie.net (@beer_movie) April 18, 2014
But it can never be all bad when there's a dude with a drill for a face #frankentweet
— Tim @ Beermovie.net (@beer_movie) April 18, 2014
Aside from drillface though, the monster designs are perhaps not as creative as I would have hoped. Though fanface is ok #frankentweet
— Tim @ Beermovie.net (@beer_movie) April 18, 2014
Basically though, most of them are just somethingface. #frankentweet

ARBIE JUST WOKE UP AND DID A YAWN. If you don't understand how big a deal that is, see this: http://t.co/Ph7A1xVXW2 #frankentweet

Can't help feeling this is a concept that had so much more promise. Not sure what is lacking. Writing, ambition, budget??? #frankentweet
— Tim @ Beermovie.net (@beer_movie) April 18, 2014
Probably all three of those I think. Needs a whole lot more of all of them. #frankentweet
— Tim @ Beermovie.net (@beer_movie) April 18, 2014
Even just basic things like the clarity of the plot are sadly lacking. Nice splattering of brains toward the end though. #frankentweet
— Tim @ Beermovie.net (@beer_movie) April 18, 2014
Maybe it would have worked better if the dr was the focus from the start, rather than just the end. #frankentweet
— Tim @ Beermovie.net (@beer_movie) April 18, 2014
Overall, whilst some cool ideas and moments, that was really not great at all. Really did not take the concept anywhere. #frankentweet

Verdict: Schooner of Carlton Draught

I saw this at EIFF last year and found it to be very average. I really like the production design and the monsters but not much else. You’re right about everyone being a ‘somethingface’!
Average is right. So much promise in the concept. But very little originality delivered. Though you’re right, the production design is pretty impressive given what I assume was a pretty low budget.
Did Arbie fall asleep or pass out from booze? He looks wasted haha.
Maybe a little of both.
