I’m not featuring this trailer for the movie so much (though I am very keen to see it), but rather the bold and artistic trailer. So great to see people take a really different approach to a trailer and this one really grabbed me. Simple, but very clever and effective. Great music, a great shot and a great payoff in under 2 minutes. What do you guys think of it?

Yeah same. Hopefully it gets a cinema release in these parts, but I am not holding my breath.

I am really looking forward to this. Stanley Kubrick’s my favorite director and The Shining is one of my favorite films.
Yeah I am a big fan of Kubrick’s, at least what I have seen. Huge fan of The Shining, in my top 3 or so of his films. What are your favourites of his?
2001, Barry Lyndon, The Shining, Dr. Strangelove, A Clockwork Orange, and Paths of Glory are my favorites, though I pretty much love all of his films except for Killer’s Kiss. The only films I haven’t seen by him are Eyes Wide Shut, Lolita, and Fear and Desire.
I quite like Kubrick too, though I have not seen enough of his films. For me, I would probably go Paths of Glory, The Shining and The Killing in that order as my favourites. The only one that I have seen of his and not loved is Full Metal Jacket.
